United Kingdom, CHARITY BANK

Charity Bank is a unique organisation: it’s both a registered general charity and a fully authorised bank that lends money to charities and social enterprises. In so doing, it provides a bridge between people/institutions who would like their savings to be used for the benefit of society, and enterprising community organisations that can deliver solutions but who may require loan funding.

To date, Charity Bank has agreed loans totalling more than £55 million for more than 500 charitable organisations, reaching three million people in communities across the UK.

To support our growth, we are now seeking to fill key positions within the team over the next few months.

FIELD OFFICERS, REGIONALLY/HOME BASED
Negotiable Contracts

Charity Bank augments its small head office team with a network of regionally based freelance or contract field support officers. Often skilled relationship bankers who have taken early retirement or a career break, these members of the team provide us with indispensable local knowledge and reach.

We may wish to add to the group over the next few months so that we can continue to respond positively to business opportunities wherever they arise. You will be our local eyes and ears, identifying and responding to regional business opportunities, developing and maintaining local relationships and working with the head office team. You will be free to commit as much or as little time as you feel able to. The network includes volunteers; freelance people paid on a per diem basis and retained regional co-ordinators.

You will have strong analytical skills, a good understanding of credit risk assessment and the ability to articulate a reasoned proposal to colleagues and Credit Committee.
